Made in London c.1900 by the famous firm Parkes of Vigo Street. The firm was known for making exquisite Georgian revival jewelry. This necklace is in the Georgian style with the diamonds set in closed back settings in silver over 15K yellow gold. The main difference to this piece and Georgian jewelry other than the time period is the quality of the diamonds. Diamonds were more widely available and these are of beautiful and matching quality which is not always common in Georgian era pieces. Approximately 27.3 total carats.
